Understanding The Learning Process (page-1)

EDUC-6115-1 Learning Theories and Instruction
I placed several blog articles within my discussion which I believe can bring about the furthering quest I need to acquire within my studies of Instructional Integrated Design In one episode of the E-Learning Curve Podcast, introduced and discussed are the basic concepts behind the learning theory of Constructivism “Live like you are going to die tomorrow … learn like you are going to live forever”. This was stated in what was called the e-learning forever blog. In another article there are learning Values such as
- Knowledge acquisition, when learners acquire information and convert it to knowledge
2. Reflection, when learners apply knowledge to their work situation, and reflect on its impact.
3. Practice, when learners practice new skills or behaviors, either at work or in a simulated environment.
4. Interaction, when learners exchange experiences with other learners and synthesize new experience.
5. Escalation, when learners build on their newly acquired skills and behaviors to develop new knowledge, apply it, and develop new skills and behaviors. These value were taken from what is known as the Learning value Chain.
There is so much to gain from so many sources that it takes learning instructional Integrated Design to another level for me. The internal and external part of learning has been the majority of my adaptation to gain knowledge and a fine acquisition of intelligent learning, but through ideas such as reflection constructivism Interaction escalation and practice makes me see where a person such as LR Beach makes up his six elements for Organizational Transformation for the Leadership of tomorrows global Art of Change. His principles Assessment culture vision implement plan and follow through are not much different than the other means people have used to successfully climb the to get ahead in the world of leadership and innovation. In one article which goes into the actual make of putting the work horse (ADDIE) together it really lets me see further than I could think this course would open and broaden my scope and mind by this means> The ADDIE Instructional Design « L&T blog: About learning …

and courses are undergraduate classes that I have accepted to read from bloggers and this has met my idea of when I changed the Masters program I was in to take up this Instructional Integrated Design Graduate degree to let me realize I did not make a mistake in switching over. Just in structuring my insight at what it is that I am trying to gain and how to go about doing it through an ADDIE of self construction makes my idea of my future goal of building a Media Art School more of a clear vision path operation for me to handle and construct.

from L&T blog: About learning, training and technology at ITC-ILO by Tom Wambeke. The amount of visual aids is growing in the learning atmosphere. Already two topics were introduced here in this blog:
In addition we would like to point out that more and more ‘lectures’ become available in audiovisual format. One of the famous examples are the global TED lectures (ideas worth spreading) . They are more and more visible on the internet. Next to this we would like to share Academic Earth with you. This channel is hosting free video courses from leading universities (Stanford, MIT, …). In fact this nice collection of video’s refers to initiatives of several institutions and universities that already were available on the net for some time.
